Part-Time SEO Specialist (10 hrs/week) – Remote/Hybrid — 1 day/week in person (Mississauga/Toronto)

Type: Independent Contractor to work on multiple agency clients | Rate: CAD $20/hr | Hours: 2 hrs/day, Mon–Fri with potential to an hours increase

Schedule

• Remote most days. Clockify app to keep hours.
• One on-site weekday per month in the GTA.

What you’ll do

• Keyword research, competitor mapping, and content gap analysis (Ahrefs, Google/Bing, Screaming Frog). Understand Google analytics, GSC and Clarity data
• On page content optimization Image, Text, Video
• Use search everywhere optimization approach to create valuable problem resolving and MOFU + BOFU content
• Build topic clusters and a simple monthly content calendar for our writer.
• Update page and blogs using Search Console insights.
• Create, Validate and Add JSON-LD schema (Article, FAQ, LocalBusiness, Product, etc.).
• Improve internal linking.
• Fix GSC – crawl, coverage, and PageSpeed issues.
• Manage Google Business Profile, city citations, and local roundup ideas.
• MS Clarity use is a plus.
• SEM/SMM ads experience is a plus.

Must-haves

• 2+ years hands-on SEO (agency or in-house).
• Can ship schema and on-page edits without help.
• Local SEO and GBP experience.
• Clear written English.
• Based in GTA. Able to be in person 1 day/week.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic HTML/CSS
• Looker Studio and UTM tagging.

Outputs you own

• Monthly cluster plan + content calendar.
• Weekly tech fixes list with before/after.
• GBP actions log.
• Citation and link log.
• Simple KPI update.

KPIs (example)

• GSC clicks up on target pages.
• More keywords in Top 10.
• Core Web Vitals pass on key templates.
• GBP actions up (calls, directions, CTR).
• 10 clean citations/month.
